Professional Registration and Standards
All physiotherapists working with Home Links Physiotherapy are fully qualified and registered with both the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). HCPC registration is a legal requirement for anyone using the protected title "Physiotherapist" in the UK, while CSP membership demonstrates commitment to the highest professional standards and continuous professional development.
Our Dual Registration Requirements:
HCPC Registration:
Legal requirement for practicing physiotherapists in the UK
Ensures practitioners meet statutory standards for public protection
Covers fitness to practice, professional conduct, and competency standards
Requires biennial renewal and ongoing professional development
CSP Membership:
Professional body membership demonstrating commitment to excellence
Access to latest clinical guidelines and evidence-based practice standards
Ongoing professional development support and resources
Adherence to CSP's Code of Professional Values and Behaviours
Our Registration Verification Process:
As part of our rigorous employment and contractor verification process, we check and verify that every physiotherapist:
Holds current and valid HCPC registration with registration numbers publicly displayed
Maintains active CSP membership in good standing
Meets all HCPC standards for professional conduct, performance, and ethics
Adheres to CSP standards for quality care, personalised service, and ethical practice
Complies with both HCPC and CSP requirements for continuous professional development (CPD)
Maintains appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance as required by both regulatory bodies
Demonstrates ongoing commitment to evidence-based practice and clinical governance standards

Verifying Individual Registration:
You can independently verify any physiotherapist's HCPC registration status by visiting the HCPC online register at www.hcpc-uk.org and searching by their name or registration number. This public register shows current registration status and any conditions or restrictions. While CSP membership details are not publicly searchable online, we are happy to confirm our physiotherapists' CSP membership status upon request by contacting us at [email protected].
Our Commitment to Professional Standards:
This dual registration approach ensures that our clients receive care that not only meets legal requirements but exceeds professional standards. We take professional accountability seriously, with all our physiotherapists maintaining both HCPC registration and CSP membership, adhering to their professional guidelines for practice, ethics, and continuing education. This provides peace of mind that your treatment is delivered by qualified practitioners committed to the highest levels of professional excellence.
